Lake Holiday, Virginia

Lake Holiday is a private gated community of about 1200 homes and 2700 building lots situated around a 240-acre man-made lake from which the community takes its name. It is located north of Winchester in Frederick County, Virginia, United States. Lake Holiday is approximately three miles southwest of the boundary with the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia. The postal address is Cross Junction but Lake Holiday and the surrounding community lies within unincorporated land in Frederick County.

Timber Ridge

Timber Ridge is a mountain ridge of the Ridge-and-valley Appalachians straddling the U.S. states of Virginia and West Virginia. Timber Ridge extends from the forks of Sleepy Creek at Stotlers Crossroads in Morgan County, West Virginia, to Lehew in Hampshire County, West Virginia. The ridge is predominantly forested, as its name suggests, with the exception of a number of orchards and open fields.

Capon Bridge, West Virginia

Capon Bridge is a town located in eastern Hampshire County, West Virginia along the Northwestern Turnpike, approximately twenty miles west of Winchester, Virginia. The population was 355 at the 2010 census. 200 of which live within the town limits. Originally known as Glencoe, Capon Bridge was incorporated in 1902 by the Hampshire County Circuit Court.

Caudy's Castle

Caudy's Castle is a rock pinnacle of Ridgeley (Oriskany) sandstone that stands 1,400 feet (326 m) above sea level over the Cacapon River near the Bloomery Pike south of Forks of Cacapon in Hampshire County, West Virginia. The rock formation is named after James Caudy, an early Hampshire County pioneer and settler who fought off an attack by fifteen Native Americans from the rock in the 1730s. Caudy's Castle is also known as Castle Rock.
