Maury River

The Maury River is a 42.8-mile-long tributary of the James River in west-central Virginia in the United States. Via the James River, it is part of the watershed of Chesapeake Bay. The Maury flows for its entire length in Rockbridge County. It is formed near Goshen by the confluence of the Calfpasture and Little Calfpasture rivers, and flows south past Lexington and Buena Vista; between the cities it collects the South River and is paralleled by a 7-mile rail trail.

Dinosaur Kingdom

Dinosaur Kingdom (also called Escape From Dinosaur Kingdom) is a tourist attraction in Natural Bridge, Virginia, consisting of statues which depict a dinosaur attack on the Union Army. The park contains thirty fiberglass dinosaur statues, a smaller number of Union soldiers, and several other characters, including Abraham Lincoln and a gorilla in a cowboy hat. Dinosaur Kingdom, which opened in 2005, is the work of local artist Mark Cline, who also created nearby Foamhenge.

Foamhenge

Foamhenge is a full-size replica of Stonehenge made entirely out of styrofoam in Natural Bridge, Virginia. The structure was created by Mark Cline of Enchanted Castle Studio in 2004, with the pieces in astronomically correct positions. Cline has described Foamhenge as his greatest achievement.

Enderly Heights Elementary School

Enderly Heights Elementary School or EHES is located in the independent city of Buena Vista, Virginia. The school is operated by Buena Vista City Public Schools. It teaches Kindergarten to Fourth Grade students. The mascot is the Eagle, and the school colors are blue and white. As of the 2010-11 school year, the school had an enrollment of 255 students and 20 classroom teachers, for a student-teacher ratio of 12.75. The school is fully accredited in the Buena Vista City Public School system.
