Vint Hill Farms Station

Vint Hill Farms Station was a United States Army Security Agency (ASA) facility located in Fauquier County, Virginia near Warrenton. The Vint Hill Farms facility was closed in 1997 and the land was sold off in 1999 by the United States Department of Defense. The facility was defined as a census-designated place at the 1970, 1980, and 1990 United States Censuses.

First Battle of Auburn

The First Battle of Auburn was fought on October 13, 1863, between Union infantry and Confederate cavalry forces at the start of the Bristoe Campaign during the American Civil War. A Union infantry column stumbled upon a Confederate cavalry reconnaissance party and a short, inconclusive fight ensued. The Confederate cavalry withdrew in the face of the superior Union force, but a much larger body of Confederate cavalry under Maj. Gen. J.E.B.

Second Battle of Auburn

The Second Battle of Auburn was fought on October 14, 1863, in Fauquier County, Virginia, between Union and Confederate forces in the American Civil War. Confederate forces led by Lt. Gen. Richard S. Ewell led a sortie to extricate Maj. Gen. J.E.B. Stuart's cavalry command, trapped between two Union columns and clashed with the rearguard of the Federal III Corps under Brig. Gen. John C. Caldwell.

Lake Manassas

Lake Manassas is a 770-acre reservoir located in Prince William County, Virginia, to the southwest of Gainesville. It is owned and operated by the city of Manassas, Virginia, although it is located outside the city limits. The reservoir was created in the late 1960s to provide drinking water for area residents. Today it contributes to a regional water system which serves the cities of Manassas and Manassas Park, Virginia, and unincorporated areas of Prince William County.

Weston Wildlife Management Area

Weston Wildlife Management Area is a protected area located in Fauquier County, Virginia, near the town of Casanova. 271 acres in size, it nevertheless features a variety of habitats, including hardwood forests along Turkey Run. Former tracts of farmland are reverting to cedar thickets, and there are a number of fields around the area as well, divided by well-maintained hedgerows. Turkey Run provides a water supply year-round, and forms the eastern boundary of the property.
