White Oak Mountain Wildlife Management Area

White Oak Mountain Wildlife Management Area is a protected area located in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. More a plateau than a mountain, the area's topography contains elevations ranging from around 550 to about 900 feet above sea level. 2,748 acres in size, the property is nearly two-thirds forest, with timber types including various examples of hardwoods, such as several species of oak, and pines.

WMDV-LD

WMDV-LD channel 44 is a low-power television station licensed to Danville, Virginia and serving that city and adjacent Pittsylvania, Halifax and Henry Counties. It is owned by the Star News Corporation, the owners of WGSR-LD. The station is also seen on Chatmoss Cable and Comcast systems throughout the region. Under former owners Tri-State Christian Television (TCT), the station aired the schedule of full-power Christian station WLXI-TV from Greensboro, North Carolina.
