Charlotte County, Virginia

Charlotte County is a county located in the south central part of the Commonwealth of Virginia. The county was formed in 1764 from Lunenburg County, and it is named for Queen Charlotte, wife of King George III of England. Its county seat is Charlotte Court House, and, as of 2010, the population was 12,586. Notable residents of Charlotte County include John Randolph and Patrick Henry after which the County's high school, Randolph-Henry High School, built in 1939, is named and Ambassador David K.
