Charlotte County, Virginia

Charlotte County is a county located in the south central part of the Commonwealth of Virginia. The county was formed in 1764 from Lunenburg County, and it is named for Queen Charlotte, wife of King George III of England. Its county seat is Charlotte Court House, and, as of 2010, the population was 12,586.
