Jamestown Glasshouse

The Jamestown Glasshouse is located in Jamestown, Virginia about 1 mile from Jamestown Island, location of the first permanent English settlement, and is a part of the Colonial National Historical Park. The original glasshouse was built soon after the first glassblowers (German & Polish) arrived in Jamestown in 1608. A series of small furnaces were built just a few yards away from the current exhibit.

Jamestown was the first successful English settlement on the mainland of North America. Named for King James I of England, Jamestown was founded in the Colony of Virginia on May 14, 1607.

Jamestown High School (Virginia)

Jamestown High School is a public secondary school located in James City County, Virginia, just outside Williamsburg, Virginia. The school was opened in 1997, becoming the second of three high schools in the county. It is part of Williamsburg-James City County Public Schools and is located on 3751 John Tyler Highway.
