Tacketts Mill, Virginia
Tacketts Mill is an unincorporated community in Stafford County, in the U.S. state of Virginia. Tacketts Mill was originally settled as part of the Tackett (Tacquette) land grant in the late 1600s. Tackett's Mill was one of the earliest mills in Stafford County and was originally built to serve the Huguenot populace that began settling Stafford County in the late 1600s. According to tax records in Stafford County's public records the original land grant was in excess of 350 acres of land.

Ruby, Virginia
Ruby is an unincorporated community in Stafford County, in the U.S. state of Virginia. Ruby was formerly the site of the Ruby Post Office which moved to Lake Arrowhead in the late 1970s. As a United States Post Office site the community appeared in world atlases. The post office was combined with a general store which closed, hence the move of the post office to Lake Arrowhead. The community around the old post office is still called Ruby but is unincorporated.
