Eastern State Hospital (Washington)

Eastern State Hospital is a psychiatric hospital established in 1891 in Medical Lake, a small community 20 miles southwest of Spokane, Washington. 1994 Fairchild Air Force Base B-52 crash

The 1994 Fairchild Air Force Base B-52 crash occurred at Fairchild Air Force Base, Washington, United States, on June 24, 1994, when the pilot of a Boeing B-52 Stratofortress, Arthur "Bud" Holland, flew the aircraft beyond its operational limits and lost control. The aircraft stalled, fell to the ground and exploded, killing Holland and the other three United States Air Force (USAF) crew members on board.

Fairchild Air Force Base (AFB) is a United States Air Force base located approximately 10 miles southwest of Spokane, Washington. The host unit at Fairchild is the 92d Air Refueling Wing (92 ARW) assigned to the Air Mobility Command's Eighteenth Air Force.
