Spokane House

Spokane House was a fur trading post founded in 1810 by the British-Canadian North West Company under direction of David Thompson. The post was sited on a peninsula where the Spokane River and Little Spokane River meet. Today this site is in Spokane County in the U.S. state of Washington, just northwest of the city of Spokane. When established it was the North West Company's farthest outpost in the Columbia River region.

Centennial Trail State Park

Nine Mile Falls, Washington

Nine Mile Falls is an unincorporated community in Spokane County, Washington, United States. It is located 9 mi (16 km} downstream on the winding river) from downtown Spokane, at the location of the former falls on the Spokane River. In 1908, the falls were eliminated by the construction of Nine Mile Dam. The community offers four schools: two elementary schools, one middle school and a high school. Both Lakeside High and Lakeside Middle are home to the Eagles.

Prairie View Elementary

Prairie View Elementary is a K-6 elementary school in the Mead School District #354, Spokane, Washington, United States, and is currently under construction. It is slated to be opened in time for the 2007-2008 school year. Currently, the mascot and school colors have been announced. Prairie View Elementary will be the Red and Black Hawks.
