Battle of Hancock

The Battle of Hancock, also called the Romney Campaign, was a battle fought during the Romney Expedition, occurred January 5–6, 1862, in Washington County, Maryland, and Morgan County, West Virginia, as part of Maj. Gen. Thomas J. "Stonewall" Jackson's operations against the Baltimore and Ohio (B&O) Railroad during the American Civil War.

Warm Spring Run

Warm Spring Run is an 11.9-mile-long non-navigable tributary stream of the Potomac River in Morgan County of West Virginia's Eastern Panhandle. It rises on the eastern side of Warm Springs Ridge (1,115 feet) and parallels U.S. Route 522 for most of its course. Warm Spring Run enters the Potomac River at Hancock.
