Appalachian Power Park

Appalachian Power Park is the current home field for the West Virginia Power, a minor league baseball team in the South Atlantic League which are a Class A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates. It also serves the baseball programs of Marshall University, West Virginia University and the University of Charleston. The stadium, which opened in April 2005, is located in the East End of Charleston, West Virginia, just outside the city's downtown in the east end.

Charleston, West Virginia

Charleston is the capital and largest city of the U.S. state of West Virginia. It is located at the confluence of the Elk and Kanawha Rivers in Kanawha County. As of the 2010 Census, it had a population of 51,400, while its metropolitan area had 304,214. New definitions from February 28, 2013 placed the population at 240,000. The metropolitan area is the second-largest in the State of West Virginia behind the Huntington-Ashland-Ironton metropolitan area.

Charleston Civic Center

The Charleston Civic Center is a municipal complex located in the downtown area of Charleston, West Virginia. Originally completed in 1959 at the cost of $2.5 million, the Charleston Civic Center has undergone numerous renovations and expansions. The Charleston Civic Center currently consists of three main components: the Civic Center Coliseum, the Little Theater, and the Charleston Convention Center, also referred to as the Grand Hall.

University of Charleston Stadium at Laidley Field

The University of Charleston Stadium at Laidley Field, is an 18,500-capacity stadium located in downtown Charleston, West Virginia, near the state Capitol complex. It features a FieldTurf playing field for football and facilities for track and field competitions. The stadium was finished in 1979, as a complete rebuild of a previous facility. It is owned by Kanawha County Schools.
