New Creek Mountain
New Creek Mountain is a mountain ridge of the Ridge-and-Valley Appalachians in Grant and Mineral counties in the U.S. state of West Virginia. The mountain is named for New Creek which rises and flows along its western flanks. It is part of the Wills Mountain Anticline, with Knobly Mountain along its eastern flank. The Allegheny Front rises steeply to the west of New Creek Mountain. Oriskany (Ridgeley) sandstone cliffs ring the entire mountain.

Saddle Mountain is a section of New Creek Mountain in the Ridge and Valley physiographic province of the Appalachian Mountains in Mineral County, West Virginia. The mountain is so named for its shape. It is best viewed from Skyline which is located to the west along US 50 at the intersection with WV 42, atop the Allegheny Front. The mountain's elevation is 3,074 feet .

The Stony River is a 26.7-mile-long tributary of the North Branch Potomac River in Grant County in West Virginia's Eastern Panhandle. The Stony River joins with the North Branch at the Mineral County border. Its source lies north of the Dolly Sods Wilderness on the Tucker County border in the Allegheny Front. Near its source, the Stony River was once dammed by the Stony River Dam to create Stony River Reservoir between 4,377-foot Cabin Mountain and 2,733-foot Fore Knobs.
