Southern Airways Flight 932

Southern Airways Flight 932 was a chartered Southern Airways Douglas DC-9 domestic United States commercial jet flight from Stallings Field (ISO) in Kinston, North Carolina, to Huntington Tri-State Airport/Milton J. Ferguson Field (HTS) in Ceredo, West Virginia. At 7:36 pm on November 14, 1970, the aircraft crashed into a hill just short of the Tri-State Airport, killing all 75 people on board.

Neal, Kentucky

Neal, Kentucky is an extinct hamlet located 3 miles south of Catlettsburg on old U.S. 23. Most of this former hamlet is owned by Marathon Oil and is a part of their Catlettsburg Refinery. Neal was once populated by a sum of 200 residents but now is virtually non existent as Marathon's Refinery has purchased most residential homes that were once at Neal. Ceredo, West Virginia

Ceredo is a city in Wayne County, West Virginia, along the Ohio River. The population was 1,450 at the 2010 census. Ceredo is a part of the Huntington-Ashland, WV-KY-OH, Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA). As of the 2000 census, the MSA had a population of 288,649. The city is also near the location of the Southern Airways Flight 932 aviation disaster.

WTCR (AM)

WTCR is a radio station broadcasting a sports talk format. The station is an affiliate of Fox Sports Radio. For all programming other than local sporting events, it is a simulcast of WIRO in nearby Ironton, Ohio. Prior to its current format, the station broadcast a Christian religious format known as Joy Radio and was, until January 2007, simulcast with WZZW of Milton, West Virginia.
