Menominee River

The Menominee River is a river in northwestern Michigan and northeastern Wisconsin in the United States. It is approximately 116 miles long, draining a rural forested area of northern Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan into Lake Michigan. Its entire course, with that of its tributary, the Brule River, forms part of the boundary between the two states. It is formed approximately 10 miles northwest of Iron Mountain, Michigan, by the confluence of the Brule and Michigamme rivers.

Michigamme River

The Michigamme River is a 67.0-mile-long tributary of the Menominee River on the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in the United States. Via the Menominee River, its water flows to Lake Michigan. The Michigamme River flows from Lake Michigamme in Marquette County, through Dickinson County, Michigamme Reservoir, Peavy Pond and Michigamme Lake in Iron County to its confluence with the Brule River, forming the Menominee River. The confluence can be viewed from the dam on Michigamme Lake.

Pine Mountain Ski Jump

The Pine Mountain Ski Jump is one of the highest artificially created ski jumps in the world, located in Breitung Township Dickinson County, Iron Mountain, Michigan. It is part of the Kiwanis Ski Club and hosts annual FIS Ski Jumping Continental Cup competitions. "Pine Mountain Slide is known throughout the world as one of the better jumping hills. " Annually in February, it "hosts jumpers from around the world at the best tournament in the United States. " Top-rated foreign jumpers compete.
