French Island, Wisconsin

French Island is a census-designated place (CDP) in La Crosse County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 4,207 at the 2010 census. It lies on an island of a similar name, with which it is not coextensive; most of the island is part of the city of La Crosse, but all are part of the La Crosse Metropolitan Statistical Area. French Island is part of the Town of Campbell and contains all of its population, because the balance of Campbell is uninhabited.

Copeland Park

Copeland Park, also referred to as "The Lumber Yard," is a stadium in La Crosse, Wisconsin. It is primarily used for baseball, and is the home field of the La Crosse Loggers baseball team. The current stadium was built in 2003, although a substantially smaller baseball diamond existed at the site prior to the construction of the new ballpark.

La Crosse Rail Bridge

La Crosse Rail Bridge is a swing bridge that spans the Mississippi River between La Crescent, Minnesota and La Crosse, Wisconsin. This bridge was one of the first 15 bridges across the Mississippi River. It was designed and built in 1876 by Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad. The swing span has a humpback truss, while the two adjoining spans are flat-top fixed through trusses. Amtrak's Empire Builder crosses this bridge.
