Vinh Airport

Vinh Airport (Vietnamese: Sân bay Vinh) is located in Vinh city of Nghe An province northern Vietnam. It is a mixed military/civil airport. It used to be one of the two major military airbases in Vietnam besides Gia Lam Airbase in Hanoi. In 2010, the airport handled 276,612 passengers and is expected to reach 530,000 passengers in 2011. During 2006-2010, the airport has seen the annual increase of passengers of around 60%.

Vinh

Vinh is a city in Vietnam. It is located in the northern half of the country, and is the capital of Nghệ An Province. Politically, Vinh is a municipality within Nghệ An Province. On September 5th, 2008, it was upgraded from Grade-II city to Grade-I city, the fifth Grade-I city of Vietnam after Hai Phong, Đà Nẵng, Can Tho and Huế. It is the important city in the North Central Coastal region.
