Dong Hoi Airport

Dong Hoi Airport (Vietnamese: Cảng hàng không Đồng Hới or Sân bay Đồng Hới) is an airport located in Loc Ninh commune, 6 km north of Dong Hoi city, capital of Quang Binh province, in North Central Coast of Vietnam, about 500 km South-east of Hanoi by road. The facilities cover 173 ha, on a sandy area, by the coast of South China Sea. The runway approaches near the seashore and nearly parallel to the Highway 1A.

Battle of Đồng Hới

The Battle of Dong Hoi was a clash between United States Navy warships and three North Vietnamese air force MiG-17F fighter bombers, several torpedo boats and shore batteries on April 19, 1972 during the Vietnam War. This was the first time US warships faced an air raid since the end of World War II.

Dong Hoi Railway Station

Đồng Hới Railway Station is one of the main railway stations on the North-South Railway (Reunification Express) in Vietnam. It serves the city of Đồng Hới, the provincial capital of Quang Binh Province. The station is 450 km south of Hanoi, 160 km north of Huế, 1280 km north of Saigon Railway Station. The station is located 3 km to the downtown.

Bau Tro

Bau Tro is a lake in Đồng Hới City, Quảng Bình Province, Vietnam. This lake is an important fresh water supply for more than 130,000 inhabitants of Đồng Hới City. Bàu Tró is better known for archaeological findings by French archaeologists during French Indochina periods. The artefacts found here dated back as far as 5,000 years ago, displaying important proof of human settlements in this area.
