Trường Sơn Cemetery

The Trường Sơn Martyrs' Cemetery (Nghĩa trang liệt sĩ Trường Sơn "Long Mountains martyrs' cemetery") is a military cemetery in Vietnam. It is located on Highway 15 near the village of Ben Tat, northwest of Dong Ha . It contains the graves of PAVN soldiers killed on the 17th parallel north DMZ and on the Trường Sơn "Long Mountain" Annamite Range Trail (known in the West as the "Ho Chi Minh Trail").

Con Thien

Con Thien, was a United States Marine Corps combat base located near the Vietnamese Demilitarized Zone about 3 km from North Vietnam. It was the site of fierce fighting from February 1967 through February 1968.

Gio Linh District

Gio Linh is a rural district of Quang Tri province in the North Central Coastal region of Vietnam. Gio Linh borders Vinh Linh to the north, Dong Ha to the south. The planned Quang Tri Airport will be constructed in this district. As of 2003 the district had a population of . The district covers an area of 474 km². The district capital lies at Gio Linh. Gio Linh was the site of the northernmost Allied position during the Vietnam war.

Ben Hai River

The Ben Hai River (Vietnamese: Sông Bến Hải) is a river in central Vietnam which became an important landmark in the partition of the country into a northern and a southern zone along the 17th parallel by the Geneva Accords of 1954. The demilitarized zone (DMZ) separating the two parts extended about 5 kilometers from either side of the river.
