The hill was located 3 km northeast of the confluence of the Yen, Ai Nghia and La Tho Rivers. In the First Indochina War, two battalions of the French forces were wiped out on Hill 55. The hill was extensively mined by the Vietcong.

Bà Nà Hills
Bà Nà Hill Station (or Bà Nà Hills) is a hill station and resort located in the Truong Son Mountains west of the city of Da Nang, in central Vietnam. Linh Ung Pagoda is situated near the station, with a cable car nearby to carry tourists to and from the resort.
