Bareneed, Newfoundland and Labrador

Bareneed is a Canadian settlement in Division No. 1, Newfoundland and Labrador. It is located east of Bay Roberts, on a peninsula on the west side of Conception Bay. Established as by four families in the Brigus area of Newfoundland and Labrador in 1864, it became a village in 1968. (*There is an 1817 Census of "Bare Need" with names of Boon and Bartlet and others, and a population of 96). The Way Office was established in 1874 and the first Waymaster was Jabez W. Butler.

Port de Grave, Newfoundland and Labrador

Port de Grave is a peninsula on Conception Bay in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. The Port de Grave peninsula contains the communities of Bareneed, Black Duck Pond, Otterbury, Ship Cove, Blow Me Down, Hibb's Cove, Pick Eyes, and Hussey's Cove with a population of approximately 975 (2006). This community is located in the provincial electoral district of Port de Grave. An unincorporated area, for statistics purposes it is called Division No. 1, Subdivision K.

Tilton, Newfoundland and Labrador
