Tilton is a village located north west of Bay Roberts. The first postmaster was Thomas E. Greeley. The population was 377 in 1956. The community is now a part of the town of Spaniard's Bay.

Spaniard's Bay, Newfoundland and Labrador

Spaniard's Bay is a town in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador. Spaniard’s Bay is located on the northwest side of Conception Bay and consists of Vokey’s Shore, Northern Cove, Mint Cove, Green Head, and Goddenville. The name Spaniard’s Bay came from the Basque and Portuguese fishermen who frequented the port in the 16th century and 17th century, and were referred to by the English as ‘Spaniards’.

Bareneed, Newfoundland and Labrador

Bareneed is a Canadian settlement in Division No. 1, Newfoundland and Labrador. It is located east of Bay Roberts, on a peninsula on the west side of Conception Bay. Established as by four families in the Brigus area of Newfoundland and Labrador in 1864, it became a village in 1968. (*There is an 1817 Census of "Bare Need" with names of Boon and Bartlet and others, and a population of 96). The Way Office was established in 1874 and the first Waymaster was Jabez W. Butler.
