Ebor Way

The Ebor Way is a 70 mile (112 km) long-distance footpath from Helmsley, North Yorkshire to Ilkley, West Yorkshire, England. It takes its name from Eboracum, the Roman name for York. This walk connects the Cleveland Way and Dales Way running through the low-lying vale of York. The trail runs via Tadcaster and Wetherby. It was first developed in the 1970s by the Ebor Acorn Rambling Club. From Helmsley, the walk heads south via Oswaldkirk, Cawton and Hovingham to Terrington.

Duncombe Park

Duncombe Park is the seat of the Duncombe family whose senior member takes the title Baron Feversham. It is situated one mile south-west of Helmsley, North Yorkshire, England and stands in 300 acre of parkland. The estate has a commanding location above deeply incised meanders of the River Rye within the North York Moors National Park. The house was completed 1713 for Thomas Duncombe (born Thomas Brown) to designs by the Yorkshire gentleman-architect William Wakefield.

Rievaulx Terrace & Temples

Rievaulx Terrace & Temples is a site located in the North York Moors National Park, in North Yorkshire, England, overlooking Rievaulx Abbey and owned by the National Trust. The site is a grass-covered terrace following a serpentine course across the side of a wooded escarpment overlooking the ruins of the abbey. At either end of the terrace stand two mid-18th century follies: small Palladian "temples".

Rievaulx

Rievaulx is a small village and civil parish within the North York Moors National Park near Helmsley in North Yorkshire, England and is located in what was the inner court of Rievaulx Abbey, close to the River Rye. The inner court of the monastery contained buildings such as the brewhouse, bakehouse and guesthouse. Its name originated as Rye (the river) + Norman-French val or valle = "valley".
