Rolleston, Nottinghamshire

Rolleston is a small village in Nottinghamshire by the River Greet (a tributary of the River Trent), a few miles from Southwell not far from the Trent and about 5 miles southwest of Newark. It has a church dedicated to the Holy Trinity. It lies close to the railway line between Nottingham and Lincoln and is only one kilometer to the south of Southwell race course, which lies just to the north of the same railway line.

Rolleston railway station

Rolleston station is around half a mile from the small village of Rolleston, one of the Trent side villages close to Southwell in Nottinghamshire, England. The station is convenient for Southwell Racecourse, to which it is adjacent. Rolleston is on the Nottingham to Lincoln Line, its neighbouring stations being Newark castle, around 4 miles east, and Fiskerton, around 3/4 mile west.

Farndon, Nottinghamshire

Farndon is a small village on the Fosse Way or A46 Roman road, 2.5 miles (4 km) south-west of Newark-on-Trent, on the banks of the River Trent. The name Farndon means "Fern Hill". It is thought to be the site of the Roman fort Ad Pontem or "the place by the bridges. " The parish church of St. Peter was built in Elizabethan times, and thought to be the third such church built on the same site since Saxon times.

Fiskerton railway station

Fiskerton railway station serves the village of Fiskerton in Nottinghamshire, England. It is on the Nottingham to Lincoln Line, owned by Network Rail and managed by East Midlands Trains (EMT) Train Operating Company (TOC) who provide an hourly service which is usually a request stop. The station is unstaffed and offers limited facilities other than two shelters, bicycle storage, timetables and modern 'Help Points'.
