Mount Baldy Zen Center

Mount Baldy Zen Center (MBZC) is a Rinzai Zen monastery of the Nyorai-nyokyo sect, located in the San Gabriel Mountains of the Angeles National Forest region on 4.5 acres and founded in 1971 by Kyozan Joshu Sasaki. The monastery — once a Boy Scout camp — became famous when musician Leonard Cohen joined the community in 1994. The monastery serves as residence for Sasaki, and is the training center for monastics in his lineage.

Ontario Peak

Ontario Peak, at 8,693 ft, is a high peak in the San Gabriel Mountains of California. Like neighboring Cucamonga Peak, it is on the San Bernardino National Forest, and in the Cucamonga Wilderness. The peak is named for the nearby city of Ontario about 12 miles due south, and first appeared in the General Land Office Forest Atlas in 1908. The most accessible trailhead for hiking Ontario Peak is in Icehouse Canyon.

Mount Baldy Ski Lifts

Mt Baldy Ski Lifts, or "Baldy" for short, is a family owned and operated ski resort located in San Bernardino County, California, on Mount San Antonio (AKA Mt Baldy). The resort is run by the Ellingson family. The ski resort features traditional runs, open bowls, chutes, and tree runs; and claims to be "The largest and steepest resort in Southern California," with 26 runs spanning 3 mountains featuring a peak elevation of 8,600 ft .

Mount Harwood

Mount Harwood is the first summit east of Mount San Antonio. The United States Geological Survey recognized the name to honor California educator and conservationist Aurelia Squire Harwood in 1965. Prior to this, the peak now known as Thunder Mountain was also referred to as Mount Harwood. Mount Harwood is located on the East side of the San Gabriel Mountains in the Angeles National Forest near the San Bernardino-Los Angeles county border.
