Tweed New Haven Regional Airport

Tweed New Haven Regional Airport, formerly known as Tweed-New Haven Airport, is a public airport located three miles (5 km) southeast of the central business district of New Haven, Connecticut, United States. Tweed is currently owned by the City of New Haven. The airport property is located partly within New Haven and partly within the town of East Haven. Five Mile Point Light

Five Mile Point Light, also known as Five Mile Point Lighthouse or Old New Haven Harbor Lighthouse, is a lighthouse in New Haven, Connecticut, United States, on the harbor entrance to Long Island Sound, five miles (8 km) from Downtown New Haven. It is located in Lighthouse Point Park. The lighthouse, completed in 1845, and a keeper's dwelling built in 1812 were described in detail and were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

Short Beach

Short Beach is a beach neighborhood situated in Branford, Connecticut . It is the westernmost of Branford's seven neighborhoods, the others being: The Hill, The Center, Pine Orchard, Stony Creek, Indian Neck, and Brushy Hill. Short Beach's population is approximately 2,500. About a half mile long, it is situated in New Haven County and is bordered by East Haven to the west, Branford to the north and east and Long Island Sound to the south.

East Haven Academy

East Haven Academy is a public Magnet school in East Haven, Connecticut that enrolls children in grades 3-8. It opened its doors on September 3, 1997. In 2005 "EHA" was recognized as a Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education. In September 2007 a team of four 8th grade students from EHA won Gold Medals in the Science Olympics held at Academy of Our Lady of Mercy, Lauralton Hall which tested teams of students in the subject areas of Physics, Chemistry, Geology, and Biology.

New Haven Harbor

New Haven Harbor is an inlet on the north side of Long Island Sound in the state of Connecticut in the United States. The harbor area is an inlet carved by the retreat of the glaciers during the last ice age approximately 13,000 years ago. The city of New Haven and its neighborhoods of City Point, Long Wharf, The Annex, and East Shore lie on the northern and eastern sides. West Haven is on the west. The Quinnipiac and Mill rivers converge and empty into the inlet on its north end.
