Masuk High School

Masuk High School is the only public high school of Monroe, Connecticut, United States, and includes grades 9 through 12. It is located on Connecticut Route 111 (Monroe Turnpike) in Monroe between Old Coach Road and Pond View Road. Masuk is rare among high schools in that its monthly faculty meetings have been chaired by faculty members instead of administrators since 2002. The faculty elect a teacher as chair of their Faculty Assembly in May of odd-numbered years.

Great Hollow Lake

Great Hollow Lake is approximately 16 acres in size and is a part of William E. Wolfe Park, located in Monroe, Connecticut. The lake includes a trout park with approximately 700 feet of beach and facilities. Fishing, swimming and non-motorized boating are all permitted.

White Hills (Shelton)

White Hills is a section of the city of Shelton, Connecticut. It is one of the oldest parts of the city, with historical buildings dating to the early 18th century. It is the most rural part of Shelton, though much of it is now suburban. White Hills got its name for the higher altitude it has compared with the rest of Shelton. The rolling hills in the area were named White for several reasons: The snow melted slower in the spring, the visible lyme rock, the wild dogwood blossoms.

Stepney Cemetery

Stepney Cemetery is an old cemetery in Monroe, Connecticut, located in the village of Stepney. It was established next to the Stepney Green in 1794. Many of the area's earliest settlers are buried in the cemetery; the oldest headstone belongs to Nathaniel W. Knapp (died 1787). The cemetery is also known as Birdsey's Plain Cemetery or Beardsley Plain Cemetery. Next to the cemetery is Our Lady of The Rosary Chapel.
