Weddington High School (WHS) is a public high school located in Matthews, North Carolina. It is part of Union County Public Schools. Their mascot is a Warrior. As of 2012, the principal is Jonathan Bowers. WHS had the highest graduation rate of seniors in the state of North Carolina for the fifth year in a row. Last year it went up from 91.7% to 95.7%. They are an Honors School of Excellence with high growth.
