Khakrez District
Khakrez District is situated in the northern part of Kandahar Province, Afghanistan. It borders Ghorak District to the west, Maywand and Panjwai districts to the south, Arghandab and Shah Wali Kot districts to the east and Naish District to the north. The population is 20,200(2006). Nadahan wedding bombing
The Nadahan wedding bombing was a suicide attack on a wedding party, which occurred on 9 June 2010 at around 21:00 local time in the village of Nadahan in Arghandab District of the Kandahar Province, Afghanistan. The attack killed at least 40 people and wounded at least 77 others, making it one of the worst suicide attacks of the year. One source described the attack as "the most lethal attack in the south in recent memory".

Camp Nathan Smith
Camp Nathan Smith is an American military base in Kandahar City, Afghanistan. Originally, it was an abandoned fruit factory. In November 2003, it was built and operated by the US Army Soldiers of Charlie Battery, 3rd Battalion, 321st Field Artillery Regiment from Fort Bragg, North Carolina. It was turned over to the Canadian Military in 2005, and named after Private Nathan Smith of the 3rd Battalion, Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry.
