Estadio José María Minella

The Estadio José María Minella is a stadium in Mar del Plata, Argentina. The stadium was built for the 1978 World Cup. It has capacity for 35,354 spectators, although some of the capacity is standing only, like many Argentine stadiums. Since there are no Argentine First Division teams in Mar del Plata, the stadium is sparsely used, mostly by second division and regional teams, and by first division teams for summer tournaments. The stadium also hosts festivals and concerts.

Laguna de los Padres

Laguna de los Padres is a small lake located about eight miles west of Mar del Plata, Argentina and roughly one mile east of Sierra de los Padres' hills. The name of the lake as well as of the hills nearby has its origins in the Jesuit Fathers (Padres) attempting to evangelize the region in the 17th century. The lake has a length of 2,055 mt (6,884 feet) and a width of 1,701 mt (5,670 feet).

Punta Mogotes

Punta Mogotes is an open beach area and neighbourhood located in Mar del Plata, Argentina, some two miles south-west of the city's port. The coastline was largely high dunes and a somewhat wild landscape until 1980, when a large compound of resort facilities and paved roads was built right on the beach.
