Beelbangera

Beelbangera is a town in the north west of the Riverina and situated about 2 kilometres north-east from Griffith and about 7 kilometres south-west of Yenda. At the 2006 census Beelbangera had a population of 305. The place name Beelbangera is derived from the local Aboriginal word meaning "Native Companion". Beelbangera Post Office opened on 1 September 1919.

Hermit's Cave

The Hermit's Cave, situated on Scenic Hill on the outskirts of the town of Griffith, New South Wales, Australia, is in fact a complex of stone structures covering an area of 16 hectares. These structures include shelters, terraced gardens, water cisterns, dry-stone walling and linking bridges, stairways and paths that stretch intermittently across more than a kilometre of the escarpment.

A relatively new suburb, Collina is 4 kilometres northwest of the Griffith city centre and reflects the city's rapid growth in the early 2000s. The suburb is named for the Italian word for "hill".
