Stands of fine old trees mark former home sites and the upturned earth along the length of the Jembaicumbene Creek bears witness to the efforts of many hopeful miners, and the later activities of several dredge mining companies.

Bedervale
Bedervale in Braidwood, NSW is a grand colonial homestead listed as a building of historical significance by the Heritage Council. The house was designed by John Verge, a very well known Australian architect, and was completed in 1842. Bedervale is owned privately but the contents were purchased by the National Trust of Australia (NSW) to maintain the interior collection.

Braidwood is a town in the Southern Tablelands of New South Wales, Australia, in Palerang Shire. It is located on the busy Kings Highway linking Canberra to Batemans Bay on the coast. It is about 200 kilometres south west of Sydney and about 60 kilometres inland from the coast. Braidwood is a service town for the surrounding region which is based on sheep and cattle grazing and forestry operations. At the 2006 census, Braidwood had a population of 1,108.
