Lake Bathurst (New South Wales)

Lake Bathurst is a lake 27 km south-east of Goulburn, New South Wales, Australia. The Aboriginal name for the lake was Bundong. It is a shallow lake that can vary in area from a few square kilometres to up to ten square kilometres, depending on the inflow and evaporation rates. It was named by surveyor James Meehan for Earl Bathurst, Secretary of State for the Colonies.

Tarago, New South Wales

Tarago is a town in the Southern Tablelands of New South Wales, Australia in Goulburn Mulwaree Council. It is situated 39 kilometres south of the city of Goulburn and 69 kilometres northeast of Canberra, the capital city of Australia. It is located on the Goulburn-Braidwood road. Originally known as Sherwin's Flats, the town took the name "Tarago", possibly an Aboriginal word meaning "country", from the town presently known as Lake Bathurst, which is located 7 km north of Tarago.

Bungonia, New South Wales

Bungonia is a small town in the Southern Tablelands in New South Wales, Australia in Goulburn Mulwaree. In 2006, Bungonia had a population of 258 people. The name of the town derives from an Aboriginal word meaning 'sandy creek'. It was originally called Inverary. A post office opened at Inverary in 1832 and was renamed Bungonia in 1836. When the Great Southern Road bypassed the town, it ceased to grow beyond a very small village.
