Cootamundra railway station

Cootamundra Railway Station is located on the Main Southern railway line in Cootamundra, New South Wales, Australia. It opened in 1877 and is at an altitude of 329 metres. The station consists of a large building on the main platform which previously housed a Railway Refreshment Room, and a now disused island platform. The environs contain several goods sidings and grain silo.

Cootamundra

Cootamundra is a town and local government area in the South West Slopes region of New South Wales, Australia and within the Riverina. At the 2006 census, Cootamundra had a population of 5,579. It is located on the Olympic Highway at the point where it crosses the Muttama Creek, between Junee and Cowra. Although it is by passed by the Hume Highway, its railway station is on the Main Southern line, part of the Melbourne-to-Sydney line.

Cootamundra Shire

Cootamundra Shire is a local government area in the Riverina region of New South Wales, Australia. The Shire is located adjacent to the Olympic Way, the Burley Griffin Way and the Main South railway line. The Shire includes the town of Cootamundra and the small towns of Stockinbingal, Brawlin and Wallendbeen. The mayor of Cootamundra Shire is yet to be determined following the 2012 local government election.

Cootamundra West railway station

Cootamundra West is a closed railway station on the Lake Cargelligo railway line, in the New South Wales town of Cootamundra, Australia. The station opened in 1911 and contains a large double storey station building. The station has been closed to passenger services since 1983 when services along the branch were withdrawn. It survives in good condition. Goods trains continue.

Jindalee, New South Wales

Jindalee is a locality in the Riverina district of New South Wales, Australia. The Main South railway line passes through the area, and a passenger station was located there between 1896 and 1970. The town's name is derived from an aboriginal word meaning 'bare hill'.
