Cootamundra West railway station

Cootamundra West is a closed railway station on the Lake Cargelligo railway line, in the New South Wales town of Cootamundra, Australia. The station opened in 1911 and contains a large double storey station building. The station has been closed to passenger services since 1983 when services along the branch were withdrawn. It survives in good condition. Goods trains continue.

Cootamundra railway station

Cootamundra Railway Station is located on the Main Southern railway line in Cootamundra, New South Wales, Australia. It opened in 1877 and is at an altitude of 329 metres. The station consists of a large building on the main platform which previously housed a Railway Refreshment Room, and a now disused island platform. The environs contain several goods sidings and grain silo.

Wallendbeen

Wallendbeen is a small town in southern New South Wales, Australia, administered by Cootamundra Shire Council. At the 2006 census, Wallendbeen and the surrounding area had a population of 316. The town's name is derived from an aboriginal word for 'stony hill'. The town is located on the intersection of the Olympic Highway and the Burley Griffin Way and on the Sydney–Melbourne railway, opened to Wallendbeen in 1877. Wheat is an important industry for the area.
