Mandalong is a small rural town in the City of Lake Macquarie in New South Wales, Australia, located near the town of Morisset and west of Lake Macquarie. It was settled by Europeans in 1852 or earlier. Early industries were farming and timber working. Today Mandalong is a quiet rural area. It is close to the Sydney-Newcastle Freeway and the Watagan Mountains. The nearest shops and railway station are in Morisset.

Morisset railway station
Morisset Railway Station is located in Morisset, New South Wales, Australia on the Main North railway line. Opening in 1887, the station has two platforms. The station is served by intercity trains to Sydney and Newcastle on the Newcastle and Central Coast Line, and is the terminus for off-peak local services to Newcastle. The construction of the Sydney to Newcastle line through Morisset led to the downfall of thriving local community Cooranbong, which was the point which river shipments landed.
