Grenfell fossil site
The Grenfell fossil site is a paleontological site of late Devonian age in the central west of New South Wales, Australia. It was discovered in the late 1970s and lies near the town of Grenfell, some 370 km west of Sydney, and has been the subject of ongoing investigations by the Australian Museum. The Grenfell site is important as the youngest locality for Devonian fossils in New South Wales, containing a diverse range of placoderm, acanthodian and sarcopterygian fishes.

Weddin Mountains National Park
Weddin Mountains is a national park in New South Wales, Australia, 291 km west of Sydney. It is a small crescent shaped range, with a high point some 750 m above sea level, running roughly north south with steep cliffs on the eastern side sloping more gradually down to the plane in the west. Weddin mountains is a small patch of remnant vegetation which ecaped clearing due to its ruggedness.

Greenethorpe
Greenethorpe is a town in the Central West region of New South Wales, Australia. The town is located in the Weddin Shire local government area, 345 kilometres west of the state capital, Sydney. At the 2006 census, Greenethorpe and the surrounding area had a population of 110. The village, with the associated "Mount Oriel" homestead (known locally as Iandra Castle), is a rare example in Australia of the manorial system, "the likes of which may not exist elsewhere in the state or nation".
