Stroud, New South Wales

Stroud is a small country town one hour north of Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia. It is part of the Great Lakes Council area. The major road through Stroud is the Bucketts Way. At the 2006 census, Stroud had a population of 669. The township of Stroud can trace its beginning back to the late 1820s when it became the headquarters for a public funded company known as the Australian Agricultural Company (A. A. Company).

Division of Paterson

The Division of Paterson is an Australian Electoral Division in the state of New South Wales. It is located just north of Newcastle, on the coast of the Pacific Ocean. It extends to the Hunter Valley in the south, the Manning River in the north, and the Great Dividing Range in the west. It includes the towns of Forster, Nelson Bay, Raymond Terrace and Paterson. Paterson was originally created in 1949 and abolished in 1984. It was recreated after a redistribution in 1992.

Stroud Road railway station

Stroud Road was a railway station on the North Coast railway line in New South Wales, Australia. It was originally opened in 1913 to serve the town of Stroud, which was some distance away, as this was as near as the railway could get at an affordable cost. Stroud Road eventually grew into a small town in its own right.
