Bowning, New South Wales
Bowning is a small town in the Southern Tablelands, 14 km west of Yass on the Hume Highway in Yass Valley Shire. Bowning is an aboriginal word meaning big hill. Nearby Bowning Hill is 796 metres above sea level and Hume and Hovell mentioned it in their 1824 journal. Bowning was one of the earliest settlements in the district. Historic buildings include the Troopers Cottage on the Binalong Road and the old Cobb and Co Coaching Station in Bogolong Street.

Bowning railway station
Bowning is a closed railway station on the Main South railway line in New South Wales, Australia. The station opened in 1876 and closed to passenger services in the 1990s. The station and environs consisted of two island platforms with a large two-storey station building on the down platform. Despite its closure, the Bowning station building survives in good condition and is used as a private residence.

Binalong railway station
Binalong is a closed railway station on the Main South railway line in New South Wales, Australia. A station opened in Binalong in 1875 on the original rail alignment, which was bypassed with a deviation in 1916. The new island station opened on the new alignment in 1916 and is now closed to passenger services. It survives in good condition. The original station on the old alignment is in use as a private residence.

Yass Junction railway station
Yass Junction Railway Station is the only remaining station serving the town of Yass in New South Wales, Australia. It lies on the Main Southern Line between Sydney and Albury. The station opened on 3 July 1876 as Yass but changed to its current name on 20 April 1892. The station is not in the town itself but is located approximately 4 km away near the Hume Highway.
