Taralga, New South Wales

Taralga is a small village in the Southern Tablelands of New South Wales, Australia in Upper Lachlan Shire. It is located at the intersection of the Goulburn-Oberon Road and the Laggan-Taralga Road. It is accessible from Oberon to the north, Mittagong to the east, Goulburn to the south, and Crookwell to the west. At the 2006 census, Taralga had a population of 312 people. The exact origin of the name Taralga is disputed.

Bannaby, New South Wales

Bannaby is a locality in the Southern Tablelands of New South Wales, Australia in Upper Lachlan Shire. It is located near the township of Taralga, on the Bannaby road. The locality consists of an Anglican Church and some woolsheds. Tarlo River National Park rises in the southern part of Bannaby, while the Blue Mountains National Park and Wombeyan Caves are located about 5 kilometres to the north. The suburb is roughly equivalent to the cadastral parish of Bannaby in the County of Argyle

Wombeyan Caves

The Wombeyan Caves are limestone caves set in the Wombeyan Karst Conservation Reserve, New South Wales, Australia. It is located within the Southern Highlands about 50 km north of Goulburn. Access is by the Wombeyan Caves Road from either Mittagong in the east or from the Goulburn-Oberon Road in the west. The caves reserve is located towards the western end of the Wombeyan Caves Road.
