Tia, New South Wales

Tia, (pronounced ‘tie ah’) is a settlement and parish located approximately 30 kilometres east of Walcha, on the Northern Tablelands region of New South Wales, Australia. Tia River Station was first settled by Richard and William Denne in 1840, then comprising an area of 100 square miles . It was later purchased by Augustus Hooke in 1882.

Mummel Gulf National Park

Mummel Gulf is a national park in New South Wales, about 487 kilometres by road north of Sydney. It is situated approximately 50 km southeast of Walcha on the unsealed Enfield Forest Road and 12 km south of the Oxley Highway. The Mummel River has formed the deep 'V' shaped gorge of the Mummel Gulf, which exceeds 400 m in the head of this gorge.

Brackendale, New South Wales

Brackendale is a rural locality situated on the Riamukka Road about 29 kilometres south of Walcha, New South Wales within the Walcha Shire local government area on the Northern Tablelands in Australia. Brackendale was officially recognised as a locality in 1968 and currently comprises several houses and a church. The principal local industry is sheep and beef cattle breeding. Orundumbi Post Office opened on 1 October 1892 and was renamed Brackendale in 1924.

Yarrowitch, New South Wales

Yarrowitch is a parish and a small rural locality on the Northern Tablelands, New South Wales, Australia. It is located in the picturesque Yarrowitch River Valley on the Oxley Highway 48 kilometres east of Walcha. The settlement is included in the Walcha Shire Local Government Area in the New England region. The locality is at an elevation of about 995 metres and the area is part of Vernon County. At the 2006 census (held on 8 August 2006), the Yarrowitch area had a population of 128.
