Burrinjuck Power Station

Burrinjuck Power Station is a hydroelectric power station at Burrinjuck Dam, New South Wales, Australia. Burrinjuck has three turbines with a total generating capacity of 28 MW of electricity. The power station was commenced in 1927, running two 5 MW turbines. In 1938, an additional two 5 MW turbines were added at the dam wall. In 1972, floods damaged the original two turbines, which were decommissioned.

Burrinjuck Dam

Burrinjuck Dam is a 93-metre high, concrete gravity dam on the Murrumbidgee River approximately 60 km from Yass, New South Wales, Australia. The Yass and Goodradigbee Rivers flow into the dam. The dam divides the upper and lower catchment of the Murrumbidgee and is the headwater storage for the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area (MIA). The dam wall is 233 m long at the crest.

Tumut

Tumut /ˈtjuːmət/ is a town in the Riverina region of New South Wales, Australia, situated on the banks of the Tumut River. Tumut is at the foothills of the Snowy Mountains and is referred to as the gateway to the Snowy Mountains Scheme. Tumut Shire is administered from offices located in Tumut. Tumut is approximately 410 kilometres south-west of Sydney and 525 kilometres north-east of Melbourne. Tumut is home to a number of historic buildings.
