Agnes Water, Queensland

Agnes Water is an increasingly popular tourist town located on the Discovery Coast of Queensland, Australia. It is situated approximately 50 km east of the Bruce Highway, Queensland's major coastal route. Agnes Water has the most northerly surfing beach on Australia's east coast. At the 2006 census, Agnes Water had a population of 1,619.

Reedy Creek Reserve

Reedy Creek Reserve is a 452–hectare nature reserve on the coast of south-eastern Queensland, Australia, 3 km south of the expanding tourist township of Agnes Water and borders the Deepwater National Park. It is located 134 km north of Bundaberg and 495 km north of Brisbane. It is owned and managed by Bush Heritage Australia (BHA), to which 450 ha of land was donated in 2004 by Michael and Dellarose Baevski.

1770, Queensland

Seventeen Seventy is a village in Queensland, Australia, built on the site of the second landing by James Cook and the crew of HM Bark Endeavour in May 1770 (Cook's first landing in what is now the state of Queensland). Originally known as Round Hill – after the creek it sits on – the name was changed in 1970 to commemorate the bicentennial of Cook's visit. The community of Seventeen Seventy hold the re-enactment of this historic landing each year as part of the 1770 Festival held in May.

Deepwater National Park

Deepwater is a coastal national park in Queensland, Australia, 375 km north of Brisbane. It protects an area of sand dunes and coastal heaths in the Deepwater Creek catchment. The area is one of the few remaining pristine freshwater catchments on Queensland's east coast. Deepwater National Park was established in 1988 and covers 4,090 ha. The north of the park is dominated by a 70 m high sand dune which is covered in vegetation.

Eurimbula National Park

Eurimbula is a national park in Queensland, Australia, 411 km north of Brisbane. The nearest town is Agnes Water. Eurimbula consists of three separate sections. The main section is centred around Eurimbula Creek and is accessible from the main Agnes Water road. There are camping facilities at Bustard Beach near the mouth of Eurimbula Creek. Inland, a short uphill walk leads to a lookout, known as Ganoonga Noonga, with views of the coast and paperbark swamps of the park.
