Russell River National Park

Russell River is a national park in North Queensland, Australia, 1352 km northwest of Brisbane. The park protects a coastal strip between the sea and the Russell River. It is part of the Coastal Wet Tropics Important Bird Area, identified as such by BirdLife International because of its importance for the conservation of lowland tropical rainforest birds. Camping is allowed with a camping permit, but the park itself has no visitor facilities.

Mulgrave River

The Mulgrave River is a river in Far North Queensland, Australia. It flows in a northerly direction through Gordonvale and the southern outskirts of Cairns, after rising in the Bellenden Ker Range. Some of the 1315 km² catchment area is protected with the Wooroonooran National Park and the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area. The Mulgrave River empties into the Coral Sea 30 km south at the southern extremity of the Yarrabah Hills range where the Mulgrave meets the Russell River.

Russell River

The Russell River is a short river that passes east of the town of Babinda in Far North Queensland, Australia. The river branches and their headwaters rise in the region of the two highest mountains in Queensland, the highest Mount Bartle Frere, and Mount Bellenden Ker. They are parts of the Bellenden Ker or Wooroonooran Range, in the Wooroonooran National Park. Parts of the lower reaches are protected within the Russell River National Park.

Bramston Beach, Queensland

Bramston Beach is a town located in Queensland, Australia. It is located 60 kilometres south of the regional centre of Cairns. It is located 17 kilometres east of the Bruce Highway. At the 2006 census, Bramston Beach had a population of 196. The Eubenangee Swamp National Park and Queensland's highest mountain, Mount Bartle Frere are nearby. It is a popular spot with caravaners and is a good fishing location and has a slightly older than average population.
