Russell River National Park
Russell River is a national park in North Queensland, Australia, 1352 km northwest of Brisbane. The park protects a coastal strip between the sea and the Russell River. It is part of the Coastal Wet Tropics Important Bird Area, identified as such by BirdLife International because of its importance for the conservation of lowland tropical rainforest birds. Camping is allowed with a camping permit, but the park itself has no visitor facilities.

Mulgrave River
The Mulgrave River is a river in Far North Queensland, Australia. It flows in a northerly direction through Gordonvale and the southern outskirts of Cairns, after rising in the Bellenden Ker Range. Some of the 1315 km² catchment area is protected with the Wooroonooran National Park and the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area. The Mulgrave River empties into the Coral Sea 30 km south at the southern extremity of the Yarrabah Hills range where the Mulgrave meets the Russell River.

Frankland Group National Park
Frankland Group is a national park in Queensland, Australia, 1353 km northwest of Brisbane. The five continental islands of the Franklin group are High, Normanby, Mabel, Round and Russel isles, which lie about 10 km offshore, and are about 45 km south east of Cairns. They are the traditional home of the Mandingalby Yindinji, and the Gungandji Aboriginal peoples.

Wooroonooran National Park
Wooroonooran is a national park in Queensland, 1367 km northwest of Brisbane, between Innisfail and Cairns. The park is one of the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area series of national parks, and is a gazetted World Heritage site. Declared in 1988, the World Heritage area stretches from Townsville in the south to Cooktown in the north, and contains some of the oldest surviving rainforests in the world.
