Daintree, Queensland
Daintree is a settlement in North Queensland located 111 kilometres north of Cairns and 56 kilometres from Port Douglas, Queensland. The McDowell Ranges are near the town while the Daintree River flows nearby. It takes its name from Richard Daintree, a pioneering geologist of British origin in North Queensland in the 1860s. At the 2006 census, Daintree and the surrounding area had a population of 78.

Daintree River Ferry
The Daintree River Ferry is a cable ferry across the Daintree River in Queensland, Australia. The ferry is situated some 50 kilometres north of Port Douglas, and gives access to the northern section of the Daintree National Park and to Cape Tribulation. The ferry provides the only sealed road access to this area. The ferry carries a maximum of 40 vehicles, and takes about 5 minutes to cross the river. It operates from 6am until midnight, seven days a week.

Fan Palm Reserve
Fan Palm Reserve is an 8.2 ha nature reserve in Far North Queensland, Australia. It is located in the Wet Tropics of Queensland World Heritage Site, 20 km north of Daintree and 40 km north of Mossman. It is owned and managed by Bush Heritage Australia (BHA), by which it was purchased in 1993.

Daintree River
The Daintree River runs through the Daintree Rainforest in the Cape Tribulation region of Queensland in northern Australia. It is located about 100 kilometres northwest of Cairns in far north tropical Queensland and drains an area of 2,125 square kilometres. The river, along with the Daintree Rainforest encircled by it was given Wet Tropics Word Heritage Listing in 1988. The area is now primarily a tourist attraction.

Struck Island
Struck Island is an island in Alexandra Bay about 20 kilometres north of the mouth of the Daintree River in Queensland, Australia, some 40 kilometres north of Port Douglas. It is administered by the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority and the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service. It's very little in size. It's just 1 hectares or 0.01 square km in size. Struck Island is in the Daintree National Park about a kilometre from Thornton Beach.
