Mount Etna Caves National Park

Mount Etna Caves is a national park in Central Queensland, Australia, 544 km northwest of Brisbane. The parks caves are the roosting site for more than 80 percent of Australia's breeding population of Little Bent-wing Bats. It is also one of the few places in Australia supporting a colony of the endangered Ghost Bat.

Capricorn Caves

Capricorn Caves are located 23 km north of Rockhampton, Queensland, Australia. It was first discovered in 1882 by a Norwegian migrant John Olsen. He went on to claim the land under a lease hold title and open the attraction publicly in 1884. The property was later reclassified to free hold land and is today one of the largest privately owned caves system in Australia. The attraction is still open to the public and is one of the longest-running tourist attractions in Queensland.

Rockhampton Correctional Centre

Rockhampton Correctional Centre (also known as Etna Creek Prison) was an Australian prison at Rockhampton, Queensland, Australia. The prison was replaced by the Capricornia Correctional Centre in 2001.

Capricornia Correctional Centre

The Capricornia Correctional Centre is located in Central Queensland, Australia, and services mainly the Rockhampton and Central Queensland areas. It is a medium security facility and can hold up to 400 inmates. Construction of the centre began in August 1999, and it was officially opened on 12 September 2001. The centre replaced the Rockhampton Correctional Centre (also known as Etna Creek Prison), which had been built in 1969.

Central Queensland University

Central Queensland University (alternatively known as CQUniversity) is an Australian public university based in Queensland. Its main campus is in North Rockhampton, Queensland. However, it also has campuses in Bundaberg, Emerald, Gladstone, Mackay and Noosa, as well as study and research hubs in Cairns and Adelaide respectively. In addition, the university boasts metropolitan campuses located in Melbourne, Sydney, the Gold Coast and Brisbane.
