Lake Moogerah
Lake Moogerah, formed by Moogerah Dam, is a water supply and irrigation dam on Reynolds Creek, a tributary of the Bremer River in Southeast Queensland's Fassifern Valley. The lake is used for recreation, fishing and camping. "Moogerah" comes from the aboriginal word Moojirah meaning home of the thunderstorm. The lake is located around 60 km southwest of Ipswich and about 90 minutes drive from Brisbane. Aratula is the nearest town, about 11 km from the lake.

Spicers Gap
Spicers Gap lies 100 km west of Brisbane, Australia, and was the original route over the Great Dividing Range in the area around Brisbane. Today it is included in Main Range National Park and is a popular destination for campers and bushwalkers. To the south of the gap is Spicers Peak.

Mount Huntley
Mount Huntley is one of the mountains of the Main Range in south-east Queensland, Australia. It is within the Main Range National Park. There are no marked walking trails to the summit, and the ascent is long and very steep with some dangerous sections. There is a clearing at the summit for hikers to camp in, however no water is available. It is possible to see Lake Moogerah and other local landmarks from Mount Huntley.

Aratula, Queensland
Aratula is a small town in South East Queensland, approximately 60 kilometres southwest of Ipswich, just east of Cunninghams Gap. Warril Creek passes very close to the town. At the 2006 census, Aratula had a population of 386. Local attractions include nearby Moogerah Peaks National Park, Main Range National Park, Lake Moogerah and ballooning. Aratula is a common rest-stop for travellers coming eastward across the Great Dividing Range. There is a caravan park and a hotel just off the highway.
