Division of Wright

The Division of Wright is an Australian Electoral Division in the state of Queensland. The seat was first contested at the 2010 election. The division was created under the Australian Electoral Commission's 2009 Redistribution of Queensland. The division of Wright covers a large area of the Gold Coast Hinterland and includes the towns of Beaudesert and Boonah. Wright was notionally a Liberal Party held seat on a margin of 4.8%.

Kalbar, Queensland

Kalbar is a small town in the Scenic Rim, South East Queensland, Australia. It is located near the Cunningham Highway and directly north of Mount French in the Fassifern Valley. The town is part of the Scenic Rim Region local government area. At the 2006 census, Kalbar had a population of 713. Settlement began at the location in 1876 and by 1890 a small town had developed. The town was once known as Fassifern Scrub and then Engelsburg after the first settler of the town.

Teviotville Tree

Teviotville Tree is a large fig tree in Teviotville, Queensland, Australia that featured in the movie L'Arbre (in French) or The Tree in English. The tree is a large, 130-year-old fig tree which was considered by the French producers to be a perfect tree for the movie, after an exhaustive search for just the right one (per the DVD bonus material).

Roadvale, Queensland

Roadvale is a small village located in the Fassifern Valley, south-east Queensland, Australia, 14 kilometres north of the principal town Boonah and 79 kilometres south-west of the capital Brisbane. At the 2006 census, Roadvale and the surrounding area had a population of 559. The railway reached Roadvale in 1887 and in 1915 most of the town was destroyed by fire. Despite rebuilding many businesses the town has never recovered from the devastating fire.

Frog Buttress

Frog Buttress is a cliff on the north-west side of Mount French, in the Moogerah Peaks National Park near the town of Boonah in Queensland, Australia. It became famous when local rock climbers Rick White and Chris Meadows discovered it in 1968. Since then, 400 routes have been established by climbers including Henry Barber, Kim Carrigan and Tobin Sorenson. The buttress is small by world climbing standards: 400m wide, 50m high in the middle, and 20m at its ends.
