Bluff, Queensland

Bluff is a town in central Queensland, Australia. The town is located on the Capricorn Highway, in the Central Highlands local government area, 804 kilometres north west of the state capital, Brisbane. At the 2006 census, Bluff had a population of 357. Bluff's location between some of Queensland's largest coal mines and the port of Gladstone has led to it becoming a major interchange station for large coal trains, some up to two kilometres long.

Dingo, Queensland

Dingo is a town in central Queensland, Australia. The town is in the Central Highlands Region and on the Capricorn Highway, 762 kilometres north west of the state capital Brisbane and 148 kilometres west of the regional centre of Rockhampton. At the 2006 census, Dingo and the surrounding area had a population of 263. The town was surveyed in 1889 and took its name from the nearby Dingo Creek. For a time in 1940 the town was known as Remo.
